Kurt Miller has a lot on his plate right now. He’s been the head coach of the Connecticut Sun for seven years, and he’s a general manager, so a large portion of his day is spent on phone calls.

He’s a two-time WNBA coach of the year and he has a lot of experience at the collegiate level, as well. He was a head coach at Bowling Green State University (2001-2012) and Indiana University (2012), and he’s won seven MAC regular season and five MAC tournament titles.

In 2022, he was hired as the new head coach for the Los Angeles Sparks. He’s one of the most successful coaches in WNBA history with 140 games at the professional level, and he wants to use his experience to help save a franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game since 2015, but is still a contender for a title. In a recent interview with The Los Angeles Times, he said he hopes to work “in lockstep” with a future general manager and rebuild the franchise’s storied past.
